We know how dangerous it is to be in a museum at night. Now we’re discovering how dangerous it is during the day too… A museum escape game?
You might think you’re in the thick of one—though there’s no set time limit—when museum staff members are horrifically murdered one after another during a press conference for an exciting exhibition of ancient Egyptian artifacts. The question arises: Is there a logical explanation for these events, or is something far more sinister at play? Is a bloodthirsty mummy on the loose? Can you even trust your senses anymore?
Do mummies kill? That certainly wasn’t what young Dr. Apollonia Obermoser (known to her friends as Polly) had in mind when she finally unveiled her discovery of artifacts from the Seventh Dynasty, centered on Pharaoh Teti III. But what infuriated her even more was Daphne Gameser, the daughter of the millionaire museum owner, being convinced that a mummy was responsible for the murders. Polly, who rightly found this utterly ridiculous, set out to find “real” evidence. She had no other choice; a sudden cyberattack had shut down the museum, cutting off all contact with the outside world, so once again, she had to take matters into her own hands. With each passing minute, it became clearer that some evil—human or otherwise—was at work. Polly could never have imagined that Daphne would become her strongest ally, that she wasn’t as naive as she claimed. Nor could she have imagined that her senses were completely failing her, and that there might actually be a mummy wielding a deadly axe, wreaking havoc in the museum.
Tatiana Cruz, the curator of the comedy and crime department, stirs up a storm of ancient Egypt! She leaves no artifact—or rather, no museum staff member—unexpected, delivering a hilarious blend of suspense, thrills, and hilarious comedy! Kruse believes life is too short to be taken too seriously, so this time she adds a healthy dose of horror to her mix of comedy and crime, and remixes it perfectly.
“Mummies Don’t Kill on Wednesdays” is a top-notch museum visit; a thrilling tour of the new Egyptian collection is included in the ticket price! But be warned, Tatiana Kruse will also take you to imaginary crime scenes, and she’ll have you laughing heartily along the way.
