Arturo Artom, engineer and entrepreneur, is considered the "father" of telecommunications liberalization in Italy. In 1993, he founded the first Italian company to break a monopoly in the telecommunications sector, resulting in a landmark decision by the newly created antitrust authority. In 2011, he founded the Merit Forum, and in 2015, he launched the Artum Dinner, a prestigious cultural event that brings together prominent figures in the fields of business, arts, science and music, where they share their stories and discuss their achievements.
