Benedetta Tobaghi was born in Milan in 1977. She holds a degree in philosophy and a doctorate in history from the University of Bristol. She continues her research into the history of terrorist attacks. She worked as a radio presenter for the Italian Radio and Television Corporation (RAI) and contributes to the newspaper La Repubblica. She was a member of the Board of Directors of the Italian Radio and Television Corporation (RAI) from 2012 to 2015.
