Heimo Laettner studied art at the Academy of Fine Arts in Vienna and at the Whitney Independent Studies Program in New York, where he lived from 1995 to 2002. Since then, he has worked in Berlin as an author and director of documentary radio plays and live programmes, as well as an illustrator.
