Viktor Frankl was professor of neurology and psychiatry at the Medical Faculty of the University of Vienna until his death in 1997. During World War II, he spent three years in the Auschwitz, Dachau and other concentration camps; Most of his family members, including his wife and parents, died in these camps. Frankl wrote more than 30 books and received 29 honorary doctorates. His book, “Man’s Search for Meaning,” was translated into more than 50 languages, and more than 16 million copies were sold around the world. He was chosen as one of theThe 10 Most Influential Books in the United States by the Library of Congress.
