Jake Johnston is a senior research associate at the Center for Economic and Policy Research in Washington, D.C., and has been the lead writer for the Center's website "Haiti: Relief and Reconstruction Watch" since February 2010, a few weeks after the devastating 7.0-magnitude earthquake struck Haiti. His articles have been published in prestigious newspapers and magazines such as The New York Times, The Nation, ABC News, Boston Review, Truthout, The Intercept, and others. He grew up in Portland, Maine, and currently resides in WashingtonDC.
