Jim Al-Khalili is a distinguished emeritus professor of physics at the University of Surrey, and one of the most prominent simplifiers of science in Britain. He is the author of several books that have been translated into twenty-six languages, including “The Pleasure of Science” and“The World from the Perspective of Physics” (both Princeton publications). He is a Fellow of the Royal Society, a TV science documentary presenter, and is known in the UK for his popular BBC radio programme Science Life.
