Volker M. Heins

Volker M. Heinz, a sociologist and author, has taught at the University of Duisburg-Essen, as well as Frankfurt, Montreal and Jerusalem. He is one of the founders of the Exile Academy, and has many contributions, including the Bellevue de Monaco Cultural Center for Refugees and Their Allies in Munich. His book Open Borders for All: A Necessary Utopia (Hoffman and Campi, 2021) was nominated for the NDR Non-Fiction Prize. His most recent book is “Behind the Walls: Closed Borders as a Reality.”…
