Yasser Suleiman-Al-Maali
Emeritus Professor of Modern Arabic Studies at the University of Cambridge, Honorary Professor of Linguistics at the University of Jordan, Dean of the College of Humanities and Social Sciences at Hamad Bin Khalifa University in Doha, and Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the International Prize for Arabic Fiction (Arabic Booker). He served as Vice-President and Executive Chairman of the British Association for Middle Eastern Studies, and is the Founding President and Academic Vice-President of the Doha Institute for Graduate Studies.He has a number of books and published research in sociolinguistics (in Arabic and English).
