What does the house tell us? It tells of a turbulent and terrible half-century, from the Wilhelmine era to the summer of 1945, when Berlin's clocks were changed to Moscow time.
From its famous or rather unknown inhabitants, from sadness and joy, success and failure, threat, persecution, violence, flight and death. Disturbances are reflected in their lives in completely different ways. The authors have carefully studied these life stories, examined files in numerous archives, found never-before-published estate documents and memories, and interviewed descendants, thus transforming the house at Momsen Street No. 6 into a vibrant and exciting home of German history.
