Existence and the Turning Point

Significantly high energy prices have exposed the weakness of Germany’s competitiveness as a business hub and the fragility of its business model. All indicators now point in this direction. The much-discussed historical turning point must become an economic one, bringing about radical change in Germany. Yet, serious debate about the country’s future remains absent. The texts collected in this volume serve as a wake-up call and a demand for a genuine new beginning.

Nils Heisterhagen Born in 1988, he holds a PhD in philosophy and is a writer and journalist. He has served as a political advisor to the Social Democratic Party’s parliamentary group in Rhineland-Palatinate and as a speechwriter and political advisor to the last two presidents of the IG Metall metalworkers’ union.
