Journey to a new world

رحلة إلى عالم جديد

Not Translated

An insightful essay on the end of certainties, changing elites, and the dilemmas of power in the twenty-first century.

The world we knew is gone. The post-Cold War order is fading as new forms of power, new legitimations, and old ghosts we thought we had overcome emerge. Societies are progressing, but they are doing so amid growing anxiety and without a clear vision for the future. In Journey to a New World, Enrique Juliana and Esteban Hernandez explore this transitional period through a clear and demanding conversation that goes beyond the usual diagnosis.

The book addresses central issues in contemporary debate - the return of empires, the crisis of the European project, the rise of authoritarian leaders, the transformation of the United States and Spain's position in the new global scenario - from an unprecedented perspective, paying attention to the connections, underlying causes and far-reaching consequences. It not only describes the changes taking place, but delves into the motivations that underpin them, such as the desire for order, the drive for revenge, or distrust of the future.

Juliana and Hernandez combine experience, historical knowledge, and analytical skill to provide an in-depth reading of contemporary reality. The result is a conversational article characterized by its clarity and ambition, avoiding slogans and hype to focus on deep contemplation of the changes of the times.
