Al-Zaytouna Center for Studies and Consultations issued a new book entitled: “The Jewish Community in Russia: From Marginalization to Influence,” prepared by Dr. Heba Jamal al-Din al-Azab. The first chapter is available for free download. The importance of the book stems from its provision of answers to many questions about the role of Russian Jews and their path to transform from a marginalized minority into an influential elite, how they were able to reach that position, what are their tools for influence and influence, why Russia gave them their first national homeland in history, “the Birobidzhan region,” and what its status was during the Soviet Union period and beyond.
