Not Translated

A wonderful collection of conversations between two of the most prominent activists in the field of Palestine liberation

In The Neck and the Sword, Rashid Khalidi and Tariq Ali offer lessons learned from a lifetime of political engagement and study in order to understand the radical shift in Middle Eastern politics.Since 2023, the world has witnessed the destruction of Gaza, the massacre of its residents, and the terrorization of Palestinians in the West Bank. As a result, support for the Palestinian struggle, which has suffered decades of marginalization and distortion, has grown to an unprecedented level in the United States, Europe, and beyond. What is the future of Palestine now?

This frank and objective discussion provides an essential overview of Palestinian intellectual and political history. It includes scathing criticism of American foreign policy, as well as insightful geopolitical analysis.Without shying away from thorny issues, Khalidi and Ali discuss wide-ranging topics, including Palestinian resistance strategy, the failure of neighboring Arab states to support Palestine, and the West's complicity in the ongoing genocide. This book is essential reading for anyone committed to the liberation of Palestine.
