The afflictions of the prophets
: The Holy Qur’an, the guide to happiness in this world and the hereafter, the final divine revelation to humanity, and our final word from our Lord Almighty, tells us that man was not created in vain, that his creation has a purpose, that there are trials in this life, and that none of His servants is exempt from them. The Qur’an makes it clear that man will inevitably be afflicted by God Almighty with fear, hunger, lack of livelihood, and loss of money and life. Then he guides them on how to act when facing trials with the slogan: “Give good news to those who are patient!” Our Prophet Muhammad, may God bless him and grant him peace, saidMay God bless him and grant him peace: “The prophets were afflicted with the most severe trials,” indicating that the prophets were not exempt from trials, but rather their trials were more severe than the trials of others.
All the prophets were aware that they were being tested by God Almighty, and therefore they passed these trials successfully.
Many reasons can be given for their success, but in our opinion,The key to their success was “patience.” Every prophet took, as it were, patience as a protective shield from adversity. The Holy Qur’an tells us their stories and urges us to follow them: “These are the messengers whom God guided, so follow them
their way” (Al-An’am 6:90).
Blessed are those who follow the path of the Messengers of Monotheism, the Prophets.
