Academic Publishing House is an academic publishing house based in Munich. Centrally located near Theresienwiese, it boasts a history spanning over ten years. After completing his studies in history and political science and gaining many years of experience in non-fiction publishing, including as a publishing director, Thomas Martin founded Martin-Midenbauer Publishing House in 2004 in collaboration with Dr. Jörg Middenbauer. This company evolved into Akademiesche Verlagsgemainschaft München in 2012, which Thomas continues to lead.Martin in its management as a business unit of Thomas Martin Verlagsgesellschaft GmbH & Co.
We now offer nearly 1,000 titles available, including monographs, habilitation letters, dissertations, conference transcripts, edited volumes, as well as commemorative publications and specialty series. The multidisciplinary and international dissemination of scholarly content and opinions, as well as the promotion of contemporary debates in research and teaching, are central to our publishing activities.This endeavor has resulted in many successful publications from many specialized fields, such as the Leibniz University Hannover Center for Garden Arts and Landscape Architecture publication series, CGL-Studies, which has been available in 28 volumes since 2005, and the highly regarded textbook “Introduction to Biblical Hebrew” by Hans Werner Hoffmann (3rd edition 2024).
