Ante Kunstmann Publishing House is one of the most prominent and successful independent publishing houses in Germany, and the German cultural press describes it as a giant among young people due to its independent size and great intellectual influence. The house was founded in Munich in the seventies of the last century by publisher Antje Kunstmann and her partner. Then it took over its management and its name was officially changed to bear the name of its founder in the year one thousand nine hundred and ninety. The house follows an ambitious publishing philosophy that aims to shape and guide the general taste of readers and stimulate free thinkingInstead of just following prevailing business trends.

The house is distinguished by an intensive and thoughtful annual publishing program that presents about twenty-five new titles that combine fiction, short stories, and realistic scientific and political books, in addition to its expansion into the printing of luxury cookbooks, carefully selected children’s literature, and illustrated art books. The house’s list of publications includes prominent works by local and international novelists and thinkers, including the Scottish writer Irvine Welsh, author of famous novels, in addition to a selection ofExtensive investigative journalism, philosophical essays, and poetry. The institution maintains its complete editorial independence under the slogan of preferring reading, as it currently manages its work from its headquarters in Munich to provide distinguished cultural content that serves readers in the German-speaking space and beyond.
