In 1999, Patriarch Michel Sabbah requested to find a new location for the printing press, due to its expansion with new machines, so it was moved to Beit Jala, near the Seminary Institute, before the visit of His Holiness Pope Saint John Paul II to the Holy Land. Since April 2000, the printing press has become affiliated with the Patriarchate and operates under the supervision of the General Administration. The main business of the printing house is the printing of diocesan catechisms and liturgical books. In addition to all the Patriarchate’s publications, such as certificates, invitations, official documents, what schools need, monthly bulletins, and what the community needs in terms of publications.

As the demand for publications increased, the printing press offered great potential to create new jobs for the Christian community, by expanding its premises and scope.
