Description
Drawing Lines takes you on a journey through the streets of Beirut in search of the essence of Lebanese Identity.
Using graffiti as it’s lens, it traces the artists quest for hope, revolt and iconography while tagging the walls of the city through the years of war and beyond it. Each page tells a different story, through captivating photos of street art across Beirut, coupled with moving commentary, probing into lost Lebanese identity.
As citizens of a country that holds many secrets and stories, we are unable to define who we are. “I saw identity through their eyes, and ultimately discovered that there are many lenses of observation, and through that lens I saw many circles of identity, one encompassing the other.”
