John Ellis is a documentary filmmaker and professor emeritus at the Graduate School of Journalism at the University of California, Berkeley. A MacArthur fellow, two-time Academy Award nominee, and five-time Emmy Award winner, he produced and directed the first-ever J. Robert Oppenheimer film, The Day After Trinity, and was a producer and cinematographer for Henry Hampton's Eyes on the Prize.
