For a long time, the issue of unidentified flying objects (UFOs) has been relegated to science fiction, conspiracy theories, and fringe pursuits without official recognition. However, the publication of the book “Imminent: Inside the Pentagon’s Hunt for Unidentified Flying Objects” by former intelligence official Luis Elizondo caused an earthquake in political, military and media circles globally. The book is not just a narration of interesting stories, but rather an official military and intelligence memoir supported by the background of the author, who headed a top-secret unit in the US Department of Defense (the Pentagon) dedicated to tracking these phenomena. The book lifts the lid on one of the most closely guarded government secrets in modern history, and confronts humanity with existential and security questions that can no longer be ignored, stressing that the danger has become “imminent.”The seriousness of this book stems not only from the nature of the information contained in it, but from the weight and identity of the person who tells it. Luis Elizondo is a former US military intelligence officer and special agent who spent decades managing the US government's most sensitive and classified programs. His career included supervising counterintelligence and counterterrorism investigations around the world in conflict zones such as Afghanistan, the Middle East and Latin America. The turning point in his career came when he was appointed director of the Advanced Aerospace Threat Identification Program (AATIP), the secret Pentagon unit created with support from senators to study what became officially known as unidentified anomalous phenomena (UAPs). Elizondo resigned from his position in 2017 in protest against the systematic government blackout and bureaucracy that prevents serious facts from being communicated to the Minister of Defense and the public. He then became one of the most prominent instigators of the movement."Disclosure" that led to historic hearings in the US Congress.

In his book, Elizondo reviews hundreds of documented military reports and official video clips (such as the famous Tik-Tac clips captured by the radars and cameras of US Navy warplanes), to confirm that there are unidentified vehicles operating completely freely in American and global airspace for decades. The author explains that these compounds display extraordinary technological capabilities that exceed current human development by centuries. It challenges our contemporary understanding of the laws of physics.
