When Alfred Koch was found dead in a cold room in the sleepy village of Spiesen-Elfersberg, it was too late to save him. The amateur chef has been poisoned, and there are already several suspects.
Maybe it was a member of the men's cooking club he belonged to. Or perhaps she was the mayor's secretary, with whom Koch was involved in a heated dispute. Koch himself may have been the victim of an act of revenge between fans of Saarbrücken and Elversberg. But the investigations of Public Prosecutor Daniela Sommer and the Saarbrücken team, led by Detective Katja Reinert from the Criminal Investigation Office, quickly faltered. Surprisingly, retired Inspector General Joachim "Joachim" Schumm himself is a member of the Cooking Club.
Now he's conducting his own investigation - and Josh wouldn't be Josh if he didn't get to the bottom of things with his own unorthodox methods.
