The play opens with a man locked inside an iron cage. At first glance, he appears to be the only survivor on Earth, and he tries hard to convince the viewers of this isolation. This man is "Oedipus", the famous mythological character, but after his name was stripped and shortened in the text to "Od" (Œd). Soon the other character appears in the play, which is "Creon", the rival and other tragic symbol, who in turn receives the same reduction and abstraction until his name becomes...To "Créo".
The expressive strangeness and directorial boldness in this work lies in the fact that the male roles of “Odd” and “Cryo” are not performed by men, but are performed by only two actresses (women) on stage. In his theatrical directions, the writer stipulates that the two actresses accept the intentional distortion of their feminine nature by wearing external appearances and signs associated with masculinity, thanking them in advance for this artistic sacrifice that turns the body into a critical tool within the show.
