Scholastic Canada is one of the leading publishers and distributors in the country, offering children's books and educational materials in both official languages. For nearly seventy years, Scholastic Canada has introduced young people to the joy of reading, expanding their perceptions about Canada and the world. Today, we continue this mission with award-winning Canadian books and outstanding educational materials.Founded in 1957, Scholastic Canada Limited was the first international group company to include today the United Kingdom, Australia, New Zealand, India and Asia. They all evolved from the original Scholastic company founded by M. R. (Robbie) Robinson in 1920 in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.Scholastic Canada saw significant growth. Headquartered in Toronto, Ontario, it is supported by a distribution warehouse in East Guillemboree and six book fair branches across the country.
