Raymond Hinnebusch (rh10@st-andrews.ac.uk) is Professor of International Relations and Middle East Politics at the University of St Andrews in Scotland, co-founder of the Institute for the study of the Middle East, Central Asian and the Caucasus and Director of the Centre for Syrian Studies.
International Relations, Comparative Politics and Political Economy in the Middle East. Also an interest in Third World development.
Work has focused on Middle East international relations and foreign policy; rural politics and agrarian development, elites, authoritarian regimes, political parties, and economic liberalisation in the Middle East.
